Course Materials: In-Class Activities
As part of class our class meetings, we will consume different forms of media--interviews, documentaries, advertisements, television, etc--while "sketchnoting," doodling, note-taking, or otherwise. This form of active engagement will allow us to maintain "that particular kind of creative concentration" cartoonist and writer Lynda Barry says can come about as one writes, draws or constructs something by hand.
I will continue to add to the selections below as the semester progresses, as much of what we consume will come directly from the discoveries you post to the class blog each week.
